Quick Info.

I enjoy thinking about, doing and teaching science, critical thinking and technology.

I will be a new PhD student at Imperial College, London, under the supervision of Dr. Yiannis Demiris this coming October.

I like Japanese Food, particularly cold green soba (cha soba) and hot miso soup.

I run. But not very fast. Nor very far. Check out my Fitness page.

Volunteering gives me a good buzz. I have worked with  IHPC ReachOut, the Children’s Aid Society and Student Aid.

People who know me say I get very excited when talking about modern fighter planes (e.g. the F-22 Raptor). What can I say? They’re sleek, elegant and fast.

To perk myself up, I typically drink a Starbucks [Iced] Tall Non-Fat No-Whip Mocha.

I have a dark sense of humor and enjoy movies/books with comedic irony e.g. Crooked Little Vein.

Most embarrassing moment: click here.

I’m an agnostic (i.e. I don’t believe in omnipotent and omniscient God since such a being is a logical impossibility but I don’t deny the possibility that the universe was created by some entity).

I studied Computer Science and Economics at the University of California, Davis where I met some of the best people I know. I typically use more of my computer skills but my (basic) knowledge in economics lets me understand some public policy and the current economic crisis.

I have a Masters in Software Systems Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia. That said, I actually know very little about “Software Systems Engineering”.

I worked for the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) under the A*STAR family in Singapore for three years.
